Year started with a pandemic. Continued to have my benefits slashed while everyone else around me were laid off or furrowed. Then it dumps into a dear friend of mine drinking himself to death and didnt say anythinf about his stg4 liver failure until it was too late to say good buy. Ohh and before that, lost almost all my friends to a divorce within my family that they took sides on and fought my family against it. However, my wife is a licensed therapist in georgia and opened a new office and her business is thriving. My son is 7 and his severe speech delay is finally coming to an end. My brother in law (whom had the divorce) and I have never been closer. My beat friend and I still managed to be best friends despite all that. I still have a job and while I hate it...I still have a job. So this year has been a never ending roller coaster of fuck this shit, god damnit not again, make it stop and blessings in disguise.

objectively speaking, this year is actually a good year for me, so many good things happened to me and my family. but mentally this is the worst year for me. I can't remember any moment I ever felt genuinely happy, despite all the good things that happened. it's been a week I didn't get any night sleep. hopefully tonight I'm tired enough to get some sleep despite my anxiety.
